Use this page to set up COG Mail on Android phones and tablets. Android devices vary by manufacturer, so the exact menu names may be slightly different.
For most Android users, start by adding COG Mail to the Gmail app, Samsung Email, or another Android mail app as an IMAP account. This handles email well and keeps the setup familiar.
For calendar and contacts, use COG Mail Workspace or a CalDAV/CardDAV-capable sync app. COG Technology LLC is also working on COG Mail Connect, an Android setup app intended to make account testing, settings, Workspace access, and future calendar/contact automation easier.
COG Technology LLC is working on a COG Mail Android setup app to make this process easier. The goal is to let Android users sign in once, verify their COG Mail account, and receive guided setup for mail, calendar, and contacts.
The first version will help test the account, copy the correct settings, open COG Mail Workspace, and guide calendar/contact setup. A later version may add deeper Android calendar and contacts sync automation.
Until that app is ready, use the instructions below.
Android mail apps usually support COG Mail through IMAP and SMTP. Calendar and contacts may not automatically appear in every Android mail app. For calendar and contacts, use COG Mail Workspace or apps that support CalDAV and CardDAV.
Use these if your Android calendar or contacts app supports CalDAV and CardDAV:
If your Android app does not support CalDAV/CardDAV directly, use COG Mail Workspace for calendar and contacts.
